Switch Socket Mobile scanner between Android and iOS Modes

This article contains the steps required to switch the mode on your socket Mobile scanner between Android and iOS

Required:

• Socket Mobile Scanner
• Android or iOS device
• Xpos App

Switch from Android to iOS mode

1. On your Android device, go into Settings
2. Select Connected Devices
3. Look for Socket Mobile Scanner in the list of devices
4. Press the small cog to the right of the device, then select Forget Device
5. Scan the following barcode with the scanner

     6. Hold down both buttons on top of the scanner, the scanner will beep 3 times and power off

     7. Power the scanner back on then scan the following barcode and check the scanner beeps

      8, Pair the scanner with your iOS device

Switch from iOS to Android mode

1. On your iOS device, open Settings
2. Press on Bluetooth
3. Look for Socket Mobile Scanner in the list of connected devices
4. Select the Information Icon to the right of the device and select Forget Device
5. Scan the following barcode

     6. Hold down both buttons on top of the scanner, the scanner will beep 3 times and power off

     7. Power the scanner back on and scan the following barcode

   8. Pair the scanner with your Android device
