Q: What are the recommended hardware specifications for Xpos Cloud?
A: For optimal performance and a smooth experience with Xpos Cloud, the following hardware and software specifications are recommended:
Internet Connection
A permanent internet connection with a minimum speed of 1 megabit per second for both download and upload. Faster speeds are beneficial.
Sales Terminal (Windows)
Operating System: Windows 11.
Processor: Intel i3 10th Gen or higher, or Intel i5 8th Gen or higher.
Hard Drive: SSD
RAM: 16 GB (recommended).
Browser: The latest version of Chrome or Edge.
Peripherals: A touch screen is optimized for sales screens, and a physical keyboard is recommended for searching and entering new customer details.
Screen Resolution: Minimum 1366x768. A screen width of less than 1501px will hide the discount column.
Sales Terminal (iPad/iPad Pro)
Operating System: iPadOS 16 or later.
Screen: 9.7 inches or larger.
Browser: The native Safari browser.
Product & Management Functions (Windows)
Operating System: Windows 11.
Processor: Intel i5 8th Gen or higher.
Hard Drive: SSD
RAM: 16 GB (recommended).
Browser: The latest version of Chrome or Edge.
Peripherals: A mouse and keyboard are highly recommended for management screens.
Screen Resolution: Minimum 1366x768, but a resolution of 1920x1080 or higher is optimized for less scrolling.
Print Services
Device: Windows 11 Pro with an Intel i5 8th Gen or higher and 8 GB of RAM.
Printers: Supports Epson receipt printers (TM-T20/T88/T70) and A4 laser/inkjet printers.
Label Printers: Supports Zebra GK420D/GK220D (USB) or an A4 laser/inkjet printer with A4 5x13 sheets.
Note: The Print Service can be installed on a Windows Sales Terminal and can support multiple printers and till drawers.
Phone Apps
iOS: Requires iOS 16 or later.
Android: Requires Android 11 or higher, 3GB RAM or higher, and a Snapdragon 625 or higher processor. Xpos tests on a variety of devices, including Pixel and Samsung.
