Installing and setting up DroidOTP and imOTP

Prerequisites

Android users, please download and install DroidOTP

Apple users, please download and install imOTP

All users, please download and install the Draytek Smart VPN Client: Smart VPN Client | DrayTek onto your laptop.

Support will create a new VPN profile and provide you with a PIN. We will also need to log in to your laptop to configure the VPN client. Please follow the steps below first.

Remember: After this is set up you will always need to log in using the Draytek Smart VPN Client

Android

Install Droid mOTP

Open the app and click the settings cog (first time you may get a message no initialized settings)

Click on Add new profile

Profile name Xpos.mOTP and click OK

Configure the profile

1. OTP Type = PIN
2. Period to show OTP (change to 60 seconds)
3. Click Initialize Secret, shake phone and click OK
4. Make a note of the code, the support team will need it

Swipe right

Back on the main Droid mOTP Screen

1. Select the profile you just created Xpos.mOTP
2. Enter the PIN you were provided with and press NEW OTP
3. Use the code in the login screen for the Draytek Smart VPN Client

Enter the code from your phone into the Password field and click OK

iPhone

Install imOTP

Open app and press OK

Click on the + in the top left-hand corner

Add Profile

1. Name Xpos.mOTP
2. Period to show OTP 60s
3. PIN Type 4-digit PIN
4. Press Initialize secret

Initialize Secret

Select Shake or Random Digits and follow the onscreen instructions

Make a note of the code that is generated

Press Done

Press Save

Generate OTP

1. Ensure you have the Xpos.mOTP profile selected
2. Enter your PIN code and press New OTP
3. Enter the code from your phone into the Password field and click OK
